1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
When I tried the S1, it was able to identify the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them and even managed to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one move. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just dragging the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when needed.
This robot has an easy-to-use interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled as needed. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it could get stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation whenever needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than other models however, and tends to leave a thick space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app features a simple, intuitive interface that should be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to wipe your floors, the Q5 offers the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin by hand each time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested did not show problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home this allows it to get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects dust in a larger bin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters that further lower the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if needed. The app allows you to mark areas you want to avoid and is a great feature.
